Last week I read Stephen King’s Christine. It’s the second time I’ve read it. The last time was 20 years ago. When I realized it was that long ago it made me feel kind of old. Anyway, if you’ve seen the John Carpenter film that’s based on the book, but never actually read the book, you might be surprised at all the differences between the two. There are quite a few. If you haven’t seen the film it is well worth watching. I used to have it on video and have just bought it on DVD. I haven’t got around to watching it yet, but am looking forward to it. My favourtite scene has got to be where Arnie says “Okay… Show me.” And his smashed up motor regenerates itself. If things were that easy in the real world just think how much money we could all save on car insurance.
