According to Hollywood Reporter Anthony Hopkins may play Alfred Hitchcock in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, a big screen adaptation of Stephen Rebello non-fiction book about the director.
Rebello’s book tracks how Hitchcock, already a very successful director, decided to make a horror film. Unfortunately none of the studios liked the idea. Not one to be deterred, Hitchcock managed to arrange his own financing for the production and it became one best horror films of all time: Psycho.
Even if Hopkins does not accept the role, this should be a pretty interesting film, if he does accept it though, I think he’d make a fine Hitchcock.
