The last book I read was Psychoville by Christopher Fowler. It’s a very good book and is one that most readers might enjoy. There are dark elements to the story, but there is such a lot more besides and it is one of those stories that seem to linger in the head a while after the book has been closed for the final time.
I have got my binoculars out and I am pretty sure that I can see Lisey’s Story at the top of my book pile so I think I will read that next. I’ve really got to do something about this pile though, it’s getting a little too large for comfort. It’s not my fault. There are just so many great writers writing so many great books that my reading pile just seems to get… well… greater.
